Earlier this month we celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary!  We have to admit that there were days early in our marriage that neither one of us thought we would make it this far.  But by God’s grace, and hard-work and commitment to make it work on our part, we were able to celebrate this milestone … happily!  Anniversaries often allow you to stop and reflect on where you’ve been and where you are headed. Also, in the month of June, we celebrated another anniversary.  It has been one year since we launched our blog! One year and 40 blogs later, we are similarly taking a step back and reflecting on where we have been and where we are going.

We started our blog as a way to give hope, practical “advice”, and share resources with families who are affected by disability.  We have presented our seminars at many retreats/events and truly love sharing a message of hope with couples in person. But as we drove home from one of these events in Columbus Ohio in the middle of a snow storm, we thought that perhaps we could supplement our ministry and help couples via the internet.

So, as we think back on this past year, we would really love to hear from you our readers. What was helpful? What did you agree with? Disagree with? What topics would you like us to address? If you are new to our blog, we encourage you to go back and read some of the earlier blogs. We truly would love to know what you think.  We know there are several of our readers who aren’t parents of children with special needs, but have dealt with extremely difficult circumstances or tragedies in their lives and have found what we talk about pertinent to their situation. We welcome your feedback as well.
